Soil type: Giuseppina and Milici, a plateau of marly origin with a high clayey component strongly calcareous rich in skeleton - Munti, organic and rather deep clayey soil.
TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot and spurred cordon.
Harvest period: Mid October.
Method of harvest: Selection of the bunches on the plant and manual harvesting in boxes of 14 kg.
Vinification: The grapes are delicately shelled and after a further manual selection are transferred to horizontal and vertical fermentation tanks where, after a 15-day maceration, the alcoholic fermentation is completed. Malolactic fermentation is carried out partly in oak barriques and partly in steel.
Aging: About 18 months, partly in barrique, partly in steel. Final refinement in the bottle.
Alcohol: 14% vol

Description: Maria Costanza Rosso is the most intense expression of our way of interpreting the Sicilian grape par excellence, Nero d'Avola.

Sensory notes: Intense red color with purple reflections. On the nose, evident floral and fruity scents referable to morello cherry. It closes with spices and aromatic vegetables such as nettle and fig leaf. In the mouth it is soft, elegant and velvety with an exceptional persistence.
