It has an intense ruby ​​red color, with violet reflections, the aroma is complex, with notes of dried plum, cherry, blackberry, black currant, and raspberry. The scent is enveloping, fruity of morello cherry and raspberry, pleasantly balanced. The flavor is rich, full and velvety, with a great structure and aromatic persistence, with typical austere but gentle tannins.

Particularly suitable for red meat dishes and some medium-aged cheeses, it goes well with succulent first courses.

Nero d'Avola is the expression of a particular native vine of Sicily. For centuries it has been of fundamental importance in the production of many Sicilian wines, prevailing, however, its use as a blending wine. And it is only in the 1970s that a serious experimentation on this vine finally begins, in order to study and enhance it. This wine, today, is defined as the prince of Sicilian vines.
